Dear Raheem,
You may be the worst cheerleader I’ve ever seen. You signed off on a deal that allowed an aging, immobile QB to start. That deal not only handicapped the franchise for a few years but also ruined this season. You had no conviction or guts to bench him for the QB you took in the first round, allowing the Falcons to turn a 6-3 record into 8-9. As you squandered the division lead, fans also learned that you didn’t know how to manage the clock against the Commanders with the season on the line. Then, with a chance to make the playoffs, you pissed down your leg. Allowing the Carolina Panthers to hang 44 points on you and lose in one of the most disgraceful fashions I’ve ever seen. At home, season on the line, and you completely folded. I’ve never seen a more gutless, pathetic season than this. Take a long look in the mirror, remember you’ve always been a loser, and do better. I’m not sure you can, but please try. If Jimmy Lake is on the staff on Tuesday, that will tell me all I need to know for the future. Thanks for the disappointing season!
