SSFL Power Rankings Week 12: Cursed One continues moving up; Trapa-Hall-ics falls back

  1. Kittle School Shooters (9-2) 💲💲

    Playoff Chance: Clinched
    Week 11: Defeated Land of Misfit Toys
    Shooters continued rolling through Week 11 with an impressive 144-71 win over Land of Misfit Toys. If we didn’t know any better, we’d think they are trying to make a run for the playoffs. Don’t look now, because Shooters have clinched with three weeks left to go in the regular season. Try not to take this personal Misfit Toys. Clearly, Shooters is on a mission and you just happened to be in the way. Week 12 will be much tougher with Burrow, Cook, and Wilson on bye weeks. Hurts Donuts was humbled in Week 11, so this will be interesting matchup.

    2. It was you, Zach Robinson (9-2) 💲💲

    Playoff Chance: Clinched
    Week 11: Defeated Amon-Ra’Merica
    The other 9-2 Axis power has clinched playoffs, and has steamrolled every club on their way to an 8 game win streak. Amon-Ra put up a great fight in a 153-141 match up that went until the very end. Everybody did their part, minus Mooney going down early in the 1Q with an injury. Can Zach Robinson make it 9?

    3. Hurts Donut (6-5) 🍺

    Week 11: Lost to Diddy Party
    Everything was going right for Hurts Donuts until they showed up with their baby oil at the Diddy Party. The documentary in 10 years will be a must-watch series on MAX. Mixon continues to be Houston’s offensive firepower. Njoku has become a top 5 TE since Famous Jameis took over the offense. Week 11 is a key matchup for Hurts Donuts to get back into the win column against Kittle School Shooters who will be missing three important starters. Win and in.

    4. GOONERS (6-5) 💲

    Playoff Chance: 85%
    Week 11: Defeated USA Eagle Slayers
    GOONERS stepped up in a big way and slayed the Eagle Slayers and more importantly, saved their season. Jordan Love found his groove again. JSN has become the WR1 in Seattle. Bowers continues to treat every Sunday like it’s National Tight End day. This was one of the most important wins of the season for GOONERS. It doesn’t get any easier in Week 12 with Zach Robinson who is riding the hot hand of an 8-game win streak.

    5. USA Eagle Slayers (6-5) 🍺

    Playoff Chance: 83%
    Week 11: Lost to GOONERS
    Week 11 was a real let down. Eagle Slayers were just finally getting back into the swing of things, and put up a dud in Week 11.Now with three clubs on its haunches, Slayers will need to put together a strong performances these next three weeks. It begins this week with Land of the Misfit Toys, who is coming off the Week 11 Low Score of the Week.

    6. The Cursed One (5-6) 💲 🍺🍺💲

    Playoff Chance: 62%
    Week 11: Defeated It was Cowher’s Team
    Three game win streak and it doesn’t look like it’s going to stop anytime soon! Impressive work.Cupp is back to being himself. Chase is playing for that big contract next season. There might be some glaring holes in this roster, but the WRs make up for it. The Cursed One has moved from the back of the pack to 6 in the Power Rankings, and looking to secure the final playoff position. Will they keep it rolling against Diddy Party, who is coming off their season high?

    7. Land of Misfit Toys (5-6) 🍺🍺

    Playoff Chance: 16%
    Week 11: Lost to Kittle School Shooters
    Winning fantasy requires each player scoring points. When three players account for 0 points, it’s likely going to end poorly. Unfortunately, the wheels are starting to fall off. There are still 6 weeks left (3 regular season, 3 playoff rounds), and with that, 6 more opportunities to score the low score of the week. At this point of the season, it’s Misfit Toys competing against the second lowest scorer. Unless Misfit Toys can find a diamond in the rough on the Waiver Wire, or rally the club to finish strong, they will have another tough week with Eagle Slayers up next.

    8. It Was Cowher’s Team (5-6) 🍺

    Playoff Chance: 18%
    Week 11: Lost to The Cursed One
    The fall from grace. A three week losing streak this late in the season hurts unlike any other. Questionable trades compounded by unlucky matchups. Week 11 was rock bottom. Now with an entire bench on bye weeks, it’s going to be tough for Cowher’s Team to muster up the will to take on Trapa-Hall-ics, who is coming off an electric performance.

    9. Amon-Ra’merica (4-7) 💲🍺
    Last week: 9
    Playoff Chance: 18%
    Week 11: Lost to It was you, Zach Robinson
    4-4 and sitting in the middle pack three weeks ago. Now, 4-7 with a three game losing streak and nothing to show for it. Another unlucky week in which Amon-Ra puts up a commendable score, but their opponent just plays lights out. Cursed with the highest points against by a landslide, the Fantasy Gods have cursed Amon-Ra this season. It’s likely all but over, but there is a chance with three other clubs with one more win to still sneak in. There will have to be some lucky breaks, but this is Fantasy, and crazier things have happened. Week 12 is a must win against Gordon’s Last Joint.

    10. Gordon’s Last Joint (4-7) 💲

    Playoff Chance: 17%
    Week 11: Defeated Trapa-Hall-ics Mixtapes
    Alexa, play Hot N Cold by Katy Perry. When Gordon is hot, he’s hot. 160 points is truly impressive. Especially after Week 10’s performance. Nacua, Allen, and Jeudy all put up 25+ points. Broncos D/ST went nuclear. Shout out to the waiver wire for that nice addition. Unfortunately, it’s likely too little, too late for Gordon and making a late season push. They aren’t ruled out yet. So yes, I am saying there’s a chance. Week 12 is a must win against Amon-Ra if Gordon wants to keep the hope alive.

    11. Trapa-Hall-ics Mixtapes (4-7) 🍺

    Playoff Chance: 11%
    Week 11: Lost to Gordon’s Last Joint
    This is a heartbreaker. The week Trapa-Hall-ics shows up to compete, Gordon’s Last Joint decided to rain on their performance. This was a high scoring affair between the two clubs, and unfortunately Trapa-Hall-ics has nothing to show for it besides an L. Credit to Taysom Hill going nuclear against the reeling Cleveland Browns and putting up a whopping 49 points.

    12 Diddy Party (3-8) 🍺🍺💲💲

    Playoff Chance: 2%
    Week 10: Defeated Hurts Donuts
    Diddy Party came to compete in Week 11! 185 points is the high score of the week! More importantly, it threw a wrench in Hurts Donuts plans of securing a playoff position. This has been a roller coaster of a season given the two low scores and two high scores. You know what they say: it isn’t about destination; it’s about the journey. Will Diddy Party ruin The Cursed One’s playoff hopes next?
