SSFL Power Rankings Week 12: Shooters still at No. 1, GOONERS crashing

    Week 10 : Defeated GOONERS
    Joe Burrow saved the Shooters in Week 10. It wasn’t pretty, but they came out on top besting the GOONERS. Barkley had his goal line touches stripped from him by Jalen Hurts, who has become Shooters’ public enemy number one. Overall lousy week but did just enough to remain number one in the Power Rankings. The way-too-early projections has Shooters at a 99% chance to make the playoffs and beat Island of Misfit Toys 66% win probability. It will take a colossal failure for Shooters to not be 9-2 after Week 11.

    Week 10: Defeated Gordon’s Last Joint
    Zach Robinson enjoyed a bye week in Week 10, given Gordon’s Last Joint did not show up. There were points left on the bench, but that hardly mattered. Herbert was a great waiver wire pick up. Zach Robinson is completely in the driver seat with a 99% chance to make a playoff and first round bye week. Can he hold onto a two game advantage over Hurts Donuts with a desperate Amon-Ra’Merica who is trying to salvage their season?

    3. Hurts Donut (6-4) 🍺

    Week 10: Defeated It was Cowher’s Team
    Another easy week for Hurts Donuts who was able to put it into cruise control in Week 10 and beat Cowher’s Team. Hurts Donuts is the hottest club in the league, whose hitting their stride at the perfect time. Hurts Donuts will look to turn this magical run into a four-game win streak against the 2-8 Diddy Party.

    4. USA Eagle Slayers (6-4) 🍺

    Playoff Chance: 83%
    Week 10: Defeated Amon-Ra’Merica
    Week 10 was a get right week for the Slayers, who have been trending down the last several weeks. Slayers was fortunate for going up against the lowest scorer of the week, but given the recent weeks, it was a reprieve. With CMC and London back and fully healthy, and Jameson back from his suspension, expect the Slayers to get back to form. Week 11 will likely be the most pivotal matchup of the season, as GOONERS is up who is desperate to get back into the win column and save their season.

    Week 10: Lost to Kittle School Shooters
    GOONERS was on Cloud Nine at 5-1. Now in Week 11, GOONERS are coming off a four-game losing streak and now 5-5. This drop off needs to be studied. Barely hanging on by a thread, GOONERS needs to take a long look in the mirror and pull themselves together if it wants to turn this ship around. Week 11 poses a tough match up with USA Eagle Slayers who has been getting back to form and looking to punch its ticket to the big dance.

    6. Land of Misfit Toys (5-5) 🍺

    Playoff Chance: 30%
    Week 10: Defeated ERROR 404
    Misfit Toys continues to find a way to do just enough to beat their opponent. Scraping by in an ugly 107-106 matchup against ERROR 404, Misfit Toy’s season continues to hang on by a thread. Exceeding the projected score in just five of the matchups this season, Misfit Toys will need a miracle if they want to stand up to the Shooters in Week 11 and keep their playoff hopes alive.

    Playoff Chance: 46%
    Week 10: Defeated Trapa-Hall-ics Mixtapes
    We typically just focus on winners and losers, but it doesn’t hurt to acknowledge the strong performances regardless of the outcome. The Cursed One outscored their projected point total by 38 points, giving them the overachiever of the week award, and high score of the week! Ja’Marr Chase had a monster game scoring 57 points, and we love to see clubs give it their all. If The Cursed One is able to sneak into the playoffs with this late season push, they can really make some noise. Huge week 11 matchup with Cowher’s Team who has been trending the opposite way. Get the popcorn ready.

    9. Amon-Ra’merica (4-6) 💲 🍺

    Playoff Chance: 30%
    Week 10: Lost to USA Eagle Slayers
    Amon-Ra’Merican made it nearly two years without scoring the lowest score of the week. That all came crashing down in Week 10 as they scored an abysmal 89 points. It was an ugly week, made uglier by the fact that with the right management, this team could have been in closer contention with Slayers, who scored a pedestrian 116 points. It’s likely a make-or-break week for Week 11, where the Super Zach Robinson is looking to put Amon-Ra’Merica out of its misery.

    10. Trapa-Hall-ics Mixtapes (4-6) 🍺
    Last week: 8📉
    Playoff Chance: 22%
    Week 10: Lost to The Cursed One
    It was likely over before it even began with Ja’Marr Chase going nuclear on Thursday night, scoring 57 points. Overall, it was a pedestrian week, with the exception of Lamar Jackson scoring 4 TDs. With just a 22% of making the playoffs, there is still a path. It may take a few lucky losses from other clubs, but there is still a path. Week 11 is a must win against Gordon’s Last Joint, who is all but eliminated, and looking to eliminate Mixtapes. Misery loves company.

    Week 10: Lost to It was you, Zach Robinson
    If we’re going to call out the league overachiever, well who was the underachiever? That honor goes to Gordon’s Last Joint, who missed the mark on their projected points total by a whopping 46 points. Hopefully they can get a stronger performance from Sterling Shepard next week, who only scored 2 points. It’s been a long season for this club, who continues to skirt by not getting the lowest score of week.

    Week 10: Lost to Land of Misfit Toys
    Week 10 was there for the taking. A single point separated a win from a loss, and shattering the Misfit Toys’ dream of sneaking into the playoffs. Unfortunately, another week, another goose egg from a flex player; this time it happened to be Mason Tipton (rostered in 2.3% of ESPN Fantasy Football teams). At this point in the season, it’s all about shattering playoff hopes and avoiding the dreaded low score of the week. The surging Hurts Donuts is up next.
